Current Wish-list: Boots Edition

It is such a cliché, isn’t it? The A/W season comes out and so does the growing obsession with boots – or, in my case, the “perfect” boot. It’s true that I’ve been a long-time believer in the boot, my first notable pair being the classic Steve Madden combat boot. From the ages of fourteen to twenty I wore them literally to pieces, meaning that there was a point in my life that I was adorning my feet with duck-taped-together shoes. My Mum was the first one to beg me to replace them, and when I finally did she was the first one to throw a party.

This being said, she was also the first one to buy me a pair of chelsea boots that now have met the fate of my beloved combats. The Sam Edlman circus collection blew my mind when it came out, and I quickly feel in love with both the tri-textured loafer and the leather chelsea boots with gold detailing. The latter has now become a victim of constant wear and the tumultuous Scottish winters, and is awaiting to be replaced (and will remain in my wardrobe until then).

In searching for the perfect replacement (pictured below – Acne, you never fail to slither into my dreams), I also found two other pairs that I can’t take my eyes off of.

Acne Studios

These Acne Boots are the ones my dreams are made of. Also being the cheapest out of the three mentioned in this post – they’re more than likely the most attainable for me as well. The small, yet chunky, heel allows me to gain some height while being comfortable and most of all – stable.

The most expensive out of the bunch – these Balenciaga boots are not exactly winter friendly. However, after seeing them on Marie von Behrens Instagram they had to make an appearance.

Stuart Weitzman x Gigi Hadid

And finally, the GiGi boot – a creation formed from the collaboration between Stuart Weitzman and Gigi Hadid. To be honest I’m surprised I haven’t seen these more in the blogger/YouTube/social media world. What with Hadid seemingly being the “It Girl” of the moment – and certainly of the modelling industry – I would have though that these boots would have blown up. Maybe that’s why I like them so much?

Have you been blown away by any boot designs this season?
