As you guys would have seen on my last travel post, I had a wonderful getaway to St. Andrews with my other half not too long ago. What you didn’t get to see, however, was that I took total advantage of our first trip together to try out a couple of outfits I had been dying to wear. So without further ado, here are my favourite weekend getaway looks!
This is the outfit I wore on the day we were travelling from Edinburgh to St. Andrews and honestly, it was probably the best thing I could have worn. I’m a huge believer of comfort on travel days – even if they’re just train and bus rides – and this was that perfect mix of comfort without feeling like I looked shabby.
The Calvin Klein logo jumper is a new acquisition for me and although I’m a little ashamed at how much I paid for it, it is undoubtedly the most comfortable jumper I own. Not to mention that the amount I wear it basically means it has paid for itself.
This outfit also contains a lot of my “staples” for day-to-day, such as my classic Ray-Ban Wayfarers optics and my Matt and Nat Bold rucksack. The Wayfarers are the first pair of glasses I got when I found out I needed glasses and I’ve been in love with them ever since. I find this classic style just suits my face SO WELL and there isn’t one outfit these don’t go with.
The same goes for the Bold rucksack from Matt and Nat. I purchased this while back in Canada quite a few months back and it’s been a constant for me. It is the perfect size to fit all the necessaries I put in my purse, plus my laptop and a book! Extra plus? The brand is completely vegan!
Alright, it’s time to share my new fashion obsession with you guys – He Official. You may have seen this brand on Instagram (check out the ultimate He Official and overall babe – @alicecatherine) gracing feeds with their simple and classic looks. Since discovering the brand, I’ve created quite the collection of pieces, but by far my most-worn are the black linen dungarees. Great for day-to-night, these quickly become a must for all wardrobes and prove to be so comfortable! I just paired them with a plain white tee from Asos and some old oxfords from Aldo.
Unfortunately, I don’t have any pictures from what I wore to the wedding, but hopefully I’ll be recreating that outfit soon for my YouTube channel!
